Yeah, saw it too...
This topic may be a bit PG, and I debated whether to even bring it up, but if I'm outta line, I guess it can be zapped.
Have you ever seen an item for sale on Disney property that really caused you to double take? I'm sure that I wasn't imagining this (I'm not witty enough to have come up with something like this on my own), but I was once meandering through the bazaar area in Adventureland, and came across a Jessica Rabbit beachtowel. She was in a very flattering position up against a vertical surfboard, and the fabric proclaimed "Jessica Rabbit Surfboards: Making 'em Big Since 1947."
Yikes. Now don't even try telling me that a little innuendo wasn't intended there.
Not as though I'm complaining or anything, it just struck me as really pushing the limits of officially sanctioned Disney merchandise.
Heck, if it were Jasmine on the same towel instead, I'd have bought two or three.

How about those shirts with Pooh on them?
(I know, stale as the smell in Carousel of Progress. . . .)
What I say 100 times each day:
"It's not a Disney Resort even though it's on Disney property!"
Not necessarily risque, but did you know they used to have a smoke shop on Main Street, USA? I have an old WDW cigar box that held a single cigar with a WDW label... my how times have changed...

Lou, do you know who made the cigar? Also, what is the length and ring size? I imagine it must be pretty stale and/or moldy by now unless you have had it in a humidor. Smoke good!Originally Posted by AKQJ10

I guess it only sounds (i dunno what the word is) "bad" to aduls or very older kids. I guess the little ones wouldnt think anything of it.
Not necessarily "bad;" just drawn that way.

I've seen some "questionable" items. Disney has a sense of humor, sure!

Wasn't Bad Santa a Disney movie? Not to mention all the innuendos that were on certain Disney movie boxes and stuff, seems like the animators are trying to stick stuff in where it shouldn't be.![]()
People would be surprised at how many different film labels Disney owns.Originally Posted by luciansmommy

They're a business, and businesses are just there for the money (even Walt knew that, but went around it a MUCH better way).

For what it's worth, most of the stories dealing with risque content in Disney films and in particular on a certain video title cover are simply bunk, but they do make for amusing stories that die hard.

wdw scottie, i didn't know they had a porn company!!![]()
Last May I was in Once Upon a Toy and was surprised to find a couple of toys - a Mickey glove fist and a Mickey shoe that were on those extending arms - you squeezed a handle and the arm would extend out like you were punching someone - and the toys even had sound effects (punching or oof/ouch sounds). It just seemed so wrong to have Mickey punching a kid, know what I mean?
They either had sold out of them or removed them from the shelves by August. I hope it wasn't sold out.
I'd also seen that Jessica Rabbit towel, and I'm not very fond of some of their new t-shirts with the sayings on them. Grumpy in a recliner holding a can saying "What? You were expecting Prince Charming?" is kind of funny, but some of the Donald ones were pretty nasty.
I'm sure this wasn't officially licensed merchandise, but an SUV passed me the other day with a Mickey window decal - Mickey was giving the finger (I know, he only has 4 so which is the middle one???) That just disgusted me.
(Scott, I don't even want to know how you found out about the porn company! That's just too scary to imagine)
