Monthly Holidays and stuff
Since y'all like the daily one thot I would add this thread and the weekly one too (I have WAAAAAAYYYY too much time on my hands) and since its only the second day of the month we are good to go for Nov.
November's Birthstone is the Topaz or Citrine.
November's Flower is the Chrysanthemum

I come from family where gravy is considered a beverage.
If someone is hooked on eating Thanksgiving dinner leftovers...
Can that person quit "cold turkey?"
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.
With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.
The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.
My favorite Thanksgiving song:
(Sung to My Darling Clementine)
Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey,
are you getting nice and fat?
People eat you for Thanksgiving,
now what do you think of that?
Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey,
do you ever wonder why
people eat you for Thanksgiving
and not chicken pot pie!
Don't forget November 11 is Veteran's Day....and my birthday!
am i the only one who doesn't really like thanxgiving food? i can't eat turkey(or chicken for that matter) on the bone bc in my head all i see is the actual turkey!!! i do like mashed potatoes and gravy though and having the family all together.
