    Monthly Holidays and stuff

    Since y'all like the daily one thot I would add this thread and the weekly one too (I have WAAAAAAYYYY too much time on my hands) and since its only the second day of the month we are good to go for Nov.

    November's Birthstone is the Topaz or Citrine.

    November's Flower is the Chrysanthemum
    The Chrysanthemum stands for optimism and cheerfulness.

    November Humour
    Q. What do you get when you cross a turkey with a banjo?
    A. A turkey that can pluck himself!

    ~~~~~
    Q. What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
    A. Pumpkin pi.
    ~~~~~

    I come from family where gravy is considered a beverage.
    Erma Bombeck

    ~~~~~
    If someone is hooked on eating Thanksgiving dinner leftovers...
    Can that person quit "cold turkey?"
    November Poetry
    November comes
    And November goes,
    With the last red berries
    And the first white snows.
    With night coming early,
    And dawn coming late,
    And ice in the bucket
    And frost by the gate.
    The fires burn
    And the kettles sing,
    And earth sinks to rest
    Until next spring.
    Clyde Watson
    It's a Disney thing. If you understood, your only question would be "can I go?"
    My favorite Thanksgiving song:
    (Sung to My Darling Clementine)
    Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey,
    are you getting nice and fat?
    People eat you for Thanksgiving,
    now what do you think of that?
    Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey,
    do you ever wonder why
    people eat you for Thanksgiving
    and not chicken pot pie!
    I will not be celebrating the prune breakfast thing. I think it is weird that Soup Month and Poverty in America are in the same month.
