before you explained it...I thought that it was "Crimbo" shopping as in Christmas Bonus Shopping!!!!! But now that I have been using Crimbo...Thanks a lot. People here are starting to finally get it.
Lori, I'm so excited you got your stuff up! I have to admit that I'm jealous! I actually don't have any wrapping paper or christmas cards & I lost a bit of my decorations earlier this year. We had a small housefire in the storage closet which is where all of my Crimbo (liking the use of the new vocab word!) decorations were stored. Thankfully, none of my precious ornaments were damaged. They sort of smell like smoke, but I can totally live with that! I lost an entire tub of wrapping paper though! I always go to Dollar General the day after Christmas & stock up. But, like I said, if all I lost were some rolls of paper, cards & a few decorations... I'm O-TAY!!!
There was a good point to this story... it's that most of the rest of my decorations are sitting in the upstairs hallway so it shouldn't be difficult to "get them out" this year! ha ha!!! (I sure am wordy today, huh?)
Yeah Summer.... I couldn't help but decorate... I've already purchased my Crimbo (word of the day) Cards... Just need to begin filling them out.. I won't send them until Dec 01 though... no one needs to think I'm a freak for sendig them out too early.. I'm very particular about wrapping paper.. I havent found any I really liked this year... I've been to many stores on the look out.... I'm ahead on the shopping but I DON'T want to finish it before Black Friday!! That's my favortie day of th year.. and this year I'm already in the know.. I have access to some of the major retail stores Black Friday ads.. CompUSA is opening at 11:59 on Thanksgiving to start their 24 hr sale... Let's just say $299 laptops, $50 external hard drives, and so on...
:scratchin ... I don't know if the USA is the same, but here - through out the UK - we have local dialects.
A local one for the North West of England is
:hurray: "Proper Crimbo" :hurray:
:yahoo: ... Which basically means "I hope you have a good Christmas"!!!!!!!!!!! :yahoo:
I hear "Bah Humbug" a lot in my house!!!
well....Proper Crimbo to all!!!!

The Disney outlet has some good buys for family and friends.
Try this site Ellura www.collectionsetc.com I get their catalog and they have these neato stocking trees in it --you can even use the western themed one for other times of the year I suppose to hang stuff on. All of the items are $14.99 or less (plus shipping of course) some really cool stuff...I WANT IT ALL...lol
What a great site!! Thanks!
Yw!
When I was growing up, we did not have a fireplace. Not really a need in Hotlanta! So we had BOOTS!!! Yup, no stockings, we had Christmas BOOTS we set out by the tree! You can fit so much more into those things....
