I was wondering that also. Was there a special tour group?

Do you guys - I don't know but I bet it is not having a 'whale' of a time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They reckon the poor thing will die there before it finds it's way back to the North Sea.

A real shame as I love whales.

    Latest (3.30pm UK time):

They are trying to get 'Wallie' - the name they have given him - onto a barge and take him to the estuary. Here they will take blood samples and see if he is well enough to be returned to the sea.

Well, if Nessie can get from the Loch to the open ocean as she sees fit, no reason why a lost leviathan can't get up the Thames.

I hadn't heard that. So sorry about that. Still wonder how it got there. I wonder if it was sick to begin with.

Yep, they got 'Wallie' onto the barge and were moiving him down the Thames to the estuary. It was on the barge that things didn't look good and he died at 6pm UK time of convulsions. He is now to be examined by marine experts.

    Poor thing!! RIP, Wallie.

I saw this story on our "CNN Students News" this morning... So sad, I hope they find out what happened to poor Wallie.
