    LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - A man was hurt Tuesday evening at Walt Disney World while trying to board a ride.

    It happened on the Peter Pan ride at the Magic Kingdom, WESH 2 News reported.

    The guest's injuries are not life-threatening. Officials with the Orange County Sheriff's Office said the 71-year-old man is in good shape, but there were some tense moments when the accident happened.

    Fire and rescue crews pulled the man to safety after he slipped and fell into the path of the cars while trying to board the ride.

    "He tripped between two of the ride cars. It's a slow-moving attraction. A cast member saw what happened and immediately hit the emergency stop and activated the emergency system to have someone come help them," Reedy Creek Fire Department representative Bo Jones said.

    Disney immediately shut down the ride and cleared the rest of the area for the evening. Officials expect the ride to reopen Wednesday.

    I could imagine the horrific sight of tumbling and rolling of the dude's mass under the 'ship' untill they stopped the ride, leaving him pinned underneath.

    not good for pan.

    Jen didn't like the moving walkways at WDW. When we got to a ride/attraction that had one she made me hold on to her tight and walk slowly. I think I also remember her saying something about just making sure she made it off OK and if I fell I was on my own. Now that's love!

    I have to admit, sometimes those moving sidewalks while boarding the ride do make me nervous....just glad the guy seems to be ok.
    Nothing to countdown to, so just smile and be happy everyday!
