Things I have learned living in ARKANSAS1. Possums sleep in the middle of the road with their feet in the air.2. There are 5,000 types of snakes and 4,998 live in ARKANSAS.3. We have four seasons: Almost Summer, Summer, Still Summer and Christmas.4. A carbonated soft drink is not a soda, cola or pop...It's a 'coke' regardless of brand or flavor. Ex...What kind of 'Coke' do you want?5. People actually grow and EAT okra!!6. Sweet Iced Tea is appropriate for all meals.7. You have to switch from 'heat' to A/C in the same day.8. All the festivals across the state are named for an animal, insect, grain, vegetable or fruit.9. You work until you are done or it's too dark to see.10. Everyone can't be an Arkansan: You have to be BRAVE to live here!

grilled garlic shrimp last night with mashed potatoes and green beans....
was going to grill again today, but as of right now it's freezing rain outside and thinking I don't want to go out and stand in that so......time will tell

Well, if we are lucky enough to get some ice, we will stay home and have left overs. If not, then I will be dragged (kicking and screaming) to the MIL's house for who knows what. (i dont ask what it is or what's in it!! I'm not that brave)

I have no idea about dinner but lasagna for lunch. It's in the oven cooking right now.

Sometimes I make my own alfredo sauce, but not often!!
Taco soup is soooooooo easy, That's why I fix it so often.
Hamburger meat - browned and drained
diced onion
2-3 cans crushed or diced tomatoes - sometimes I use 1 rotel to give it a little spice
1 pkt taco seasoning
2 cans pinto beans
1 can kidney beans - optional
1 can mushrooms
1 can black olives - sliced
1/2 pkg frozen corn - or 1 can corn
1 pkt dry ranch dressing mix
only drain the olives.
Mix everything together and simmer till hot. Serve with a slice of velveeta and saltines.
See...... EASY!!
I add extra chili powder and garlic. (i'm married so who cares about garlic breath)

So Stac....how was the MIL's????I ended up grilling steaks with baked potatoes and sweet corn. We also had mac n' cheese
not something I would normally make with this meal, but Jim requested it.
After dinner the boys and I made vanilla ice cream (the kind you make in the ziploc bags) for them. Parker thinks it's fun and very cool that he can make his own ice cream. It really doesn't taste half bad for what it takes to make it.
As the world falls down...
I had pizza as a late late lunch...and now I am eating Fritos. Great diet plan eh?
