we just have to talk ssslllllooooowwwweeeerrrrrr so you southerner's can understand us....
I can think fast. I just got daughter to make the brownies! She loves doing stuff like that!
How many ways can I describe TERRIBLE!!!
It's nothing new, it is always terrible there!
I'm not sure what we had for dinner, part of it was potatoes and there was some gravy but i'm not sure what the rest was.
The company has never been good. I most certainly did not marry DH for his family!!!!!
Now how do you make this Ice cream in the ziploc bags???:scratchin I need to know this secret!!!
OK, last week my DH wanted to make me a steak supper with potatoes cooked with onions and mushrooms on the bbq.
I get a call at work (an hour away) from my neighbour to say my parents were on their way to look after the kids and take Darrin to the hospital. He had cut his finger in the slicer. This was at 1pm
I called home when I had another chance and my mom said he had cut half the pad off of his thumb. When I got home at 5pm Darrin had supper all done, his thumb wrapped in this huge mound of gauze, and feeling pretty happy since he had taken a percacet (stronger than Tylonol 3) with a Jamacian rum and coke!
That was last Sunday. I had to work again yesterday so he made steak and potatoes - but used the guard on the slicer this time!
I believe I will be fixing breakfast for dinner tonight. Bacon, eggs, grits...
It's very quick and easy! Take a pint size Ziploc and add 1/2 cup milk, 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Shake the bag up to mix ingredients together.
Then fill a gallon size Ziploc 1/2 full with ice and 6 tablespoons of salt. Place the sealed pint size Ziploc inside the gallon size with ice and salt and shake until mixture firms up (takes about 5 minutes). Be sure to wipe the outside of the pint size bag off....especially inside the zipper flap so that the salty taste doesn't get inside the ice cream bag.
Easy as that and it actually tastes yummy. The kids love doing this!
Dinner was so good last night...just what the weather ordered!
Still cannot get the cover off the grill due to the ice covering EVERYTHING! So....won't be grilling again. Was actually thinking about doing buffalo chicken strips :scratchin and maybe some plain ones for the boys. Not really sure yet. Will get back to you later.
I'm going to have to try the ice cream thing. One of these days I might have a grandchild who would enjoy doing that. Does it work with skim milk or am I going to have to go buy the whole cow?
Watched something on the food network where they made ice cream like that, but also had this soccer ball contraption where they just kicked the ball around that had a center filled with the ice cream components with the outer layer being the ice and salt.
