I'll keep that in mind and not accept a dinner invite from your mom.
My mom doesn't know the meaning of "not cooking enough." She just cannot do it. I think it's the Italian in her. It's insane! And then if it's a holiday, OH MY GOD! We'll be eating for several days....lunch and dinner....just on the leftovers. She's funny though. At the end of every holiday meal she'll say "next time I won't make so much...or we'll do less appetizers...or we'll have the soup instead of a soup and salad...maybe i'll only do 2 desserts....i won't make so many sides"This past Christmas we agreed on 1 meat...beef tenderloin. We went over the entire menu in advance. We agreed on who was doing what. We show up on Christmas, she has an entire turkey plus 2 more sides and an extra dessert ready to eat too!
She said she's going to cut back on her St. Patrick's Day dinner this year, who wants to bet she won't?

Nope, My mother thinks that for lunch for me and her we can split 1 small chicken leg and 1 biscuit.
My husband just smiles and eats what is on his plate, then when we get home he eats the rest of his dinner!!
Although it does explain why she is so skinny and we are - not so much!!
