Ok but you also have to tell us what it means so we can fully understand it.. I mean I know some basic things like you said hello my name is Sarah and then something else.

Good work vix, you were missing an R for coucher, it's "ce soir" and it's Frere Jacques. Didn't mean to be nitpicky but spelling errors just jump out at me...(oooh I'm gonna get it now....)
Ca va is pretty much asking "How are you/things?" You would reply "Ca va bien, merci" Usuallu. I need to find a way to keep my French up over the summer...

Sarah, je peux t'aider a pratiquer ton francais cet été. Est-ce que tu passes une belle fin de semaine?
Sounds like: Sarah, juh puh t'eh-day ah pra-tsee-kay tuh fra-sey set eh-tey. Eh suh kuh tsee puh-suh ee-neh bea-luh (as in bear) fay duh suh-meh-nuh. (sound it out)
Translation: Sarah, I can help you practice your French this summer. Are you having a nice weekend?

Oui. Qu'est que tu vas faire cet ete? (I need to remember how to do my accent marks on the computer...)
What I said-What are you going to do this summer?

Je vais profiter de mon été pleinement vu que je retourne travailler cet automne.
Would sound like: Juh vay profeetay duh mo etey pleh-nuh-mah vee kuh juh ruh-tour-nuh trah-vah-yay set oh-tuh-nuh. (looks really weird but if you say it out loud it will make sense).
Translation: I will enjoy this summer to the fullest since I am going back to work in the fall.
I use this for accents: http://tlt.psu.edu/suggestions/inter...ch.html#winalt

If you're looking to stay sharp on French over the summer, there's no better way to make a language stick than through immersion (although after spending three years in your neighborhood, I'm aware that your little corner of Dixieland isn't known for its widespread French influence). Unless you've got some like-minded buddies handy, Caroline (Tink here) may just be your best bet.
Good topic, and thanks much for making it happen. One tiny favor? For those of us who really don't have a background in this lingo (like yours truly), would you also type a quick pronounciation along with the phrases we share? Trying to read French out loud usually earns me more snickers than I'd like to bear........
The only thing I remember from High School French (a very long, long, long time ago) is how to sing "Jingle Bells." Except now I have a southern accent so it sounds really weird.
