WDW DVDs Review

Just received my 17 WDW DVDs, and 1 DL DVD from Relive the Magic. (They also included a small sheet of 4 Disney stickers. The Bonus?) I have only had time to watch (on 30" widescreen HDTV) a couple so far. The quality is good (somewhat grainy in low light situations to keep them in color) for amateur home videos and editing, and I love the "You are there" feeling. However, I would have liked notations or a narrative as to when the videos were made. As with any home videos the images are sometimes (IMHO) jerky, and you can often hear ambient/extraneous sounds (but no shots of the floor, or feet, as in the videos I have taken) and the sound is what you would expect from videos taken in the rides/attractions. Also, since these are candid videos you see a lot of WDW guests (and a few curious CMs) in all their glory in the parks and resorts. Perhaps there are some DWT members in the shots? Please note the DVDs are just in plain, but colorful, paper sleeves (was expecting a box) and each has a printed label, which may or may not harm your DVD player if they come off. The menus on the DVDs are just time marked and the scenes seem to overlap into other chapters.

For $99 plus the $18.99 S&H charge (kind of pricey for shipping in a very small USPS Priority Mail box) I would say they are well worth purchasing, but $99 with free S&H would be a lot better, and a better value.

Wow, a $50.00 price drop is alot . I guess they may not have been selling so well. I was thinking about getting them but maybe I will wait for them to hit $25.00.

I bought these when they were 179 Dollars!!!!!!!!!!!! plus the cost of mailing them over here (uk ).
Then only a couple of days after I ordered .......they was reduced down to 100 dollars.............I emailed & asked if I could have them at the lower price as I hadn,t even got them when the price changed......................they emailed me straight back & refunded me 80 dollars to my card........so I was impressed.
When they came ,I also thought they would be in a case of some sort .......but ..hey no problem................I found that a couple didn,t play for some unknown reason........& I had,t received the "free gift " as promised ( wishes cd )........so off went another email.....again instant response..........the "wishes cd" followed on seperately & they sent replacement dvd,s for the 2 that didn,t play.
All in all I enjoyed them although there is a lot of shakeyness in a few where they are walking around with the cam corder...........but they are worth getting .....especially now at 49 dollars .
Maybe I should send another email & try my luck for another refund
