I saw this indeed. I was quite curious as to what it is. It is on WDW property and is in the Downtown Disney area so far is all I know.
It looks very fancy so far actually. The entrance sign was made of marble if I'm not mistaken
It seems there is a lot of construction going on and planned for this resort which is located in WDW, but owned by Fairfield. As Lou related to me last October, Disney could not acquire this parcel of land from the owners way back when. I was wondering if any knew what kind of deal Disney has with Bonnet Creek, since it seems it would take away so many guests from staying at WDW resorts. If I recall the occupancy rate at WDW resorts last year was in the 80-85% range, which I think is very good, but not good enough for WDW.

The Bonnet Creek property is NOT on Disney property, but is bordered on 3 sides by Disney land, so they are required by law to allow an access road for Bonnet Creek to connect to Buena Vista Drive (the Disney road by DTD).
As JC mentioned, Walt was unable to purchase this piece of property back in the '60s, and it has remained out of Disney's hands ever since.
Lou discussed this in the Rumor Mill section of Mouse Tunes on June 4: http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/art...er.php?aid=387
This was the press release about the Hilton resorts being built on the Bonnet Creek property:http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix....185&highlight=
Basically, Disney has no deal with Bonnet Creek. I'm sure they aren't thrilled with the plans, but this property has been out of their hands and in development now for 35 years, without any success.

The owners at the time refused to sell to the dummy companies Walt had set up to acquire the Florida land without revealing it was Disney trying to buy it. Once the announcement that it was in fact Disney making the purchases was made, land prices shot up too high to buy it.
