New Entrance to WDW

Anyone have any updated info about the new western entrance to WDW off of Toll 429 (Daniel Webster) at Hartzog Road?

For of those of you wondering what I am talking about, the new toll road from the Turnpike and connects to I-4 just south of US 192 (Irlo Bronson). The route is supposed to be completely open by December of this year.

Hopefully, I will never again have to drive those 25 long miles on US 27 that goes thru Clermont, etc. and has what seems like a dozen or more stoplights and more being added every year; not to mention all the growth of homes, condos, golf courses, shopping centers, etc.

I haven't been since it opened, but I am going in 35 days and I will be staying at Coronado, which is right next to where the western entrance is (between CS and Osceola Parkway overpass on Buena Vista Drive). I'll be sure to report back. I know it'll make the drive easier.

Thanks for the update. I was wondering what the road construction was near Coronado Springs; now I know. I took some pics in Febraury and they were still paving and putting up sign standards.

We used they road in July. It has 2 tolls of $1.00 each, one on the road one at the exit. It is well worth the money to never have to use I-4. We have in the past used the same Turnpike exit and taken CR535 when staying at FW, this would also be a good route for those staying at Port Orleans.
