I just heard about this. I am shocked! usually these kinds of things don't happen to these people, because they know what to do and not to do.
Steve was an icon for anyone who loved reptiles, or any animal really...
He was the true inventor of "Crickey!", and had a wonderful family...
I remember watching his show, I did learn a lot about certain animals from them. We also used to have the Wiggles, another Austrailian-based singing/kids show/movie group, they did a Jungle Safari thing with him, his wife and daughter.
It is such a shame that he died in his early 40's.
My heart goes out to his family and close friends.
So sad.... I really enjoyed watching him!!
Hmm... Just goes to show you, You never know when it is your time to go!
Loves First Kiss!
I send prayers and pixie dust to his family.
His wife, Teri, is so strong, she must be dealing with a great amount of grief.
I also hope that his daughter and son will be okay.
Steve was a great guy. He taught me and inspired me to help animals.
Even though it was his time to go, he died doing something he loved and will always be remembered.
We will miss you Steve!

I think the worst part about his death is how he died! I mean I was shocked to hear about this, he died doing what he loved, but my gosh! To die in the way he did, I couldn't imagine. I feel Steve was really devoted to nature and wildlife and was just so full of energy. This really is horrible. I know there are many important things going on in the world, but my heart goes out to his family right now..

Teri's family from Eugene, Oregon have gone to be with Teri and the fmaily there. I live only a few hours from Eugene and this story was all over the local news.
Heartfelt prayers from all my friends (online and not) go out to Teri, her children, and their extended family.
My Son Parker is still having a really tough time with this one. Larry King was really good last night with Steve's manager and friend that was on the boat with him. I couldn't stop crying. It's a shame and a terrible loss. RIP Steve.
They are doing an all day marathon on the Animal Planet channel in tribute to his life today.
I don't think that I have ever seen anyone with more of a zest and love of life. It really is a terrible shame.
They just showed a clip from when his Daughter was born, can you believe that she was named after his favorite crocodile Bindy and her middle name was after his dog Sue.![]()
Can you believe that Kandis says if she ever has a daughter she is going to name her "Bindy Sue"?
Tonight ABC is showing a special edition of 20/20 at 10 PM EST. Barbara Walters flew to Australlia last week and did an interview with Steve's Wife Terri and Daughter Bindy. I know that I will be watching tonight.
I watched his memorial service and cried and cried, MJ and I watch Crocodile Hunter together every night. I taped his memorial service earlier this week and Good Morning America this morning and will tape 20/20 tonight. He will always be a part of our household.
