Ok, might not seem like such big news....but the new baby panda at the Atlanta Zoo is a girl!!
This is a big thing! The population of pandas is dwindling, so captive births as part of a breeding program are essential to the survival of the population.
The baby girl has been compared to the size of a stick of butter. It is amazing the cubs are born so small to become such a large animal.
Congrats to LunLun, the proud mother!!! :hurray:
