I have'nt read Da Vinci Code but it's cool They mention Walt in it.
Ok, I know, old news....
But I finally got the book back from my brother and started reading it.
Got to a section today where it talked about none other than Walt Disney!!
It spoke of him as an artist and creator that liked to hide hidden meanings in his drawing and his movies.
Talked about Snow White and other princesses in relation to the women in the stories...it was all quite interesting.
I haven't finished the book yet, but it is a good read.
I just found that part interesting - THOUGHTS?!

I'm only happy in Disney World

I am still a proud pod person
Keep on babbeling
Outside of the HP books, DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons are my favorite books. I love puzzles and quests and clues and treasure hunts and things of that nature, so this is naturally the book for me (plus, it's really funny to see the entire Theology Department at your school flip out over the book!).
Not only do they mention Uncle Walt, but Langdon is wearing a Mickey Mouse watch! They didn't make a mention of it in the film, but it is visible in one scene - in my book, that makes it a Hidden Mickey!

Looks like i'll check it out after all. I was trying to prevent my reading of the book, as I've seen the movie first, and I don't want to be one of those people who compare the book to the movie or vice versa.
Angels and Demons is really good too, I can't wait for the next Robert Langon novel.
All the people will look up and shout: "Save us!" and I'll whisper...'no'.
Who watches the watchmen?
SUCH cool books...I think there are clues to his next book throughout the edition I have.
If you look at the tops of the pages, where it says "DA VINCI CODE" and "DAN BROWN"...SOME of the pages have OTHER things on them.like "DAS BRILLI" instead of "DAN BROWN" and stuff. I don't know what they mean, but they're cool!
His next book is called "The Solomon Key," and what we know so far is that it will involve the Founding Fathers, the Freemasons, and the Kryptos statue in front of the CIA Building in Langley, Virginia.

I loved The Da Vinci Code, and loved Angels and Demons even more. I kind-of think that which one you read first determines which you could like. Anyway, I read the illustrated edition, and I got to a page, and BAM-ther was The Little Mermaid!! I flipped. hehe
You just have to decide if you’re a Tigger or an Eeyore.

No illustrations in my book either.![]()
I made apoint of reading the book before the movie came out.
I find that often, when a book is made into a movie, the producers use artistic license to "adjust" the movie for a broader audience. I wanted to make sure I was going in will all of the facts and research Mr. Brown had intended.
That said, The producers of this film were very true to the book but there was details in the book that allowed for a better flow and a more cohesive storyline. Details that one might not have even noticed if they had not read the book.
I recently bought Angels & Demons and I look forward to reading it. (After I am done with The Historian, the book I am currently reading)
Where are you Lara?
Oh... PM me so we don't spoil it for others.![]()
