I too thought the "D" was a "G" growing up. I can't remember at what age I realized it was in fact a "D" but I can certainly recognize it anywhere now!

DYK, a lot of people think the Disney font was copied after Uncle Walt's writing, but in reality it's just an artist's rendering.

gee, I found that a while ago....I think in High School. but until that time, I always thought it was a G as well.

About 8 years ago, I realized it wasn't a G. Ever since I was able to read, I wondered why it was a G, and then one day I looked at it a different way and saw that it was a D.

For some reason I always though it was a music note represting the letter D. But then i noticed it was just a fancy D like 4 years ago.

I always thought the D was just some weird symbol and it didnt make sense to me how it was a D. I think it was a year or two ago when I saw how it actually was a D but everytime I look at it i still see a symbol and I have to look at it a second to figure it out.

It took me a while to realize it was a D even though it was quite obvious

But, when I look at it, I see the official Disney letter

Nah; the D never really through me for a loop, but I do admit that I used to wonder why Superman had a 5 on his chest.
