Textbooks for classes.....one on social studies....one on reading
where do you work? we had to read that junk too. I had to go through numerous "Lean" seminars for both office and "work area" environments. none of which did any good. you can't "Lean" the switching out of boxcars.
I may be off-track, but I'm pretty sure that is the same book and other stuff.

Has anyone here read Eldest??
I liked Eragon ok but was not crazy about it. I just can't decide if I should buy the sequel or not.
"Almost everyone is mad here. You may have noticed that I'm not all there myself." - Chesire Cat
"You have spirit for one so small, and that spirit deserves a fighting chance." - Shere Khan
"Lennon Revealed" by Larry Kane (so far it's pretty good, I really liked his other book "Ticket To Ride")

"Losing My Virginity" - autobiography by Richard Branson
"Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust" - this one is a killer!
"Laughing Tales" magazine is never far from the nightstand also.
I like to keep a book or two within easy reach, you never know when you may be lucky enough to find five minutes peace!

I know this is a late reply... I liked Eldest, especially when it got farther into the book. The ending was great. The middle of the book can get a little dull, though. Most of the story is him training with the Elves.
I finished A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin and I am about to finish the sequel (the 4th book in A Song of Ice and Fire), A Feast for Crows. I really enjoy that series for the storyline. He could leave our some of the details, though. A month ago, I read The Book Thief. It was slow to read, but a good book overall. It really made you think because it causes you to pity the girl growing up in Nazi Germany and makes you wonder how the Allies could ever hurt her or her family. Sadly, those are the only books I have read this summer, Martin's books are about 1,000 pages, though.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I am reading (believe it or not) book #7 of the Hardy Boys Mysterys. I read them as a child, and found them on Ebay and While recovering from Surgery, I am plugging away at the 58 Teen Mystery Books. Brings back Memories.

I work for a large manufacturing Company and we are all about Lean. LOL First I had to read the Toyota Way (Which was a really great book and easy to read) then it was on to "Creating a Lean enviroment" And I was not a fan. The book just did not capture me and I was just not interested.
Right now I am reading "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" By Aron Ralston
