My oldest called last night. He passed his Captain's exam and got his license. Explain to me how a boy raised in the middle of the west Texas prairie with only tumbleweeds and prairie dogs to play with became so enamoured of the ocean.

Hey, congrats to the new Cap'n! Just be sure keep him away from Tortuga for as long as you can, monitor his intake of the rum, and keep a weather eye on the horizon for talking birds or conversing pets of any kind. He'll make a fine captain, I'm sure. Yargh!!! -pirate2-
Actually, it's my goal to someday make Captain too... but I want to captain a slightly different kind of vessel (the kind with wings on it!!!)
