    And the answer is.................

    In one of the scenes where we first see Sully and the other monsters coming onto the Scare Floor. It looks like the 7 Gemini astronauts in the scene from The Right Stuff.

    Although I never saw the movie, the clip was shown in the trailers shown on TV and the two are eerily similar.

    I was looking in the Disney A-Z Trivia book and it has Donalds 25th and 50th Birthday celebrations being televised on 11/13/60 (25th) 11/13/84 (50)
