(My sibs and I were so purposely obnoxious at Mom's that we got special pins for "putting on a good show". Not to mention all the special role-playing-treatment I got when I went dressed as a pirate to the MK when Pirates 2 was coming out. )

To TurkeyMaMa, that's funny your daughter was looking for beads, that's definitely a regional thing. My kids would never even know what that is, since I am from NY, and we often went to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, they would more likely expect to see BIG helium balloons !!

No, I've never been part of a parade. I was really wishing that I'd been a little kid when they pulled kids our of the crowd to participate in the Beauty and the Beast parade...or at least it had some floats that had to do with Beauty and the Beast.

Sometimes there are cast members waving with Mickey hands, from the train station, to the leaving crowds at the end of the day. Have you ever waved back?
