Download resume Sorry if this has been asked before but I have been downloading using a download manager as I am on a slow dialup connection. I tried to resume a download today of which I had already downloaded around 20,000 kbs but when I got through, it went back to nothing and started all over again. I tried it a few times and it kept doing it. I have resumed downloads before with no problems. Has something changed or is it me? Thanks. Hillneerg

| D-Ticket Holder | Same here I guess we were all on the same page for that one. I can't say I have ever had that happen. I haven't been on slow dial up either for quite a long time so perhaps something has changed. -Scott |

Sorry, perhaps I should have written "picked up where it left off" instead. Still, if anyone else has problems continuing a download without having to start at the beginning again after being cut off from the Internet, perhaps they will post. Thanks anyway. I must get Broadband! Hillneerg

Oh my goodness - don't tell me that you are on dial up!?!? I don't know how people do that. My friend has dial up aoUGHl - and while on her machine, I click on something, go to the restroom, come back and maybe it will have opened by then. I just don't have that kind of patience anymore!

I am in the UK and there are still loads of places that don't yet support broadband (the local telephone exchange has to be upgraded first). I think mine has now so perhaps I will switch over. Looking at my download manager and adjusting its responses, it appears that broken downloads cannot be picked up again from this site although they used to be (or maybe I was just lucky!). If you don't get it first time, you have to start again. Oh well........... Hillneerg ![]()
