Thumbnail Size Downloads
I tried to put some thumbnail size photos onto my thread in"VACATION & TRIP REPORTS"........I already have put several with the Trip Report & now it won,t let me add any more..... I wanted to round off my trip report with some photos of Snow Globes I,d brough home & various other souvenirs........it comes up when I try to upload "EXCEEDS QUOTA" & won,t let me upload any more............even onto another thread .....yet it allows me to post FULL SIZE Photos on various other threads........e.g. "POST A PICTURE A DAY" .I thought there was no limit to the number of thumbnails I could post...................can anyone tell me??
Does this mean I can never post any Thumbnail size pictures now anywhere on the Forums ever ????

It looks like the software only allows for a maximum of 5 files to be uploaded per post.

Is that where you are having problems, or will it not let you upload ANY pictures anywhere?

I knew I could only put 5 Thumbnail size at a time Lou, using the Manage Attachment.............but it won,t let me put ANY ON AT ALL NOW..... on any post anywhere on the boards...but as I said it allows me to post FULL SIZE photos......very weird.If you look at my trip report you will see I do have a lot of Thumbnails included but I didn,t know of any limit..........................Just went through my trip report.......50 Thumbnails altogether attached over the 21 days report........tried to do a TEST...............NO LUCK........WON,T ALLOW ME TO PUT ON ANY ANYWHERE

Please keep your images to no more than 400x400 pixels, and no more than 50k in size.

I know how to make my photos 400x400 pixels or less, but how do I know if it's 50k in size or less?

I'm stumped. Followed the following directions (I think):
There are a few ways you can post an image:

1. You can simply post the image as an attachment by using the Attach Files button below the text entry window. This is the simplest method, but doesn't show a thumbnail of your image

2. You can upload an image to our photo galleries by simply going to the galleries, clicking on the appropriate area of WDW, and the cliking the Upload Photos button in the upper right of the screen. Then once the image is uploaded, right click on it and click on Properties. You will get a box that has the Address (URL) of the image. It will look like http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/mickeymouse.gif. Highlight this address by clicking and dragging your mouse over the text. Then, right click on it, and click copy. Close the Properties window. Now, go type your message in the forums. Then click on the icon and right click (or hit CTRL-V) to paste the URL in the box. Click OK and your image should appear.

3. You can also insert a picture that is already on a web site somewhere by following the same instructions - just highlight, copy and paste the image's URL and insert it using the icon.

Where is the upload button? I think I need someone to step-by-step guide me through the process - like....click this, click this,etc. Feeling pretty dumb!

Welcome to the boards and don't feel dumb! You're following directions from nearly 5 years ago and the site has changed quite a bit. Is the only part you're having problems with the upload to galleries?

I guess that's the only problem. I assumed (because of those directions) that there would be an upload button. I also assumed that, magically, of course, I would have no problem. I did get a picture onto my profile; just can't seem to figure out the whole gallery thing.

THe galleries are being phased out, that is why there is no longer an upload button.
