Help with Downloads

Hi! I am new here, so I am not sure what I am going wrong. When I go to download something all I get in notepad is a bunch of random letters and numbers that look like a code. Why is it doing this and how do I fix it?

try a rightclick and "save as" .. this should produce a file .. instead of streaming the data into a textfile

I tried that and it didnt work.

It would only let me save it as a PDF.

Firstly - A warm welcome to the boards!!

Are you trying to put something into your signature??...

If so, you need to make sure that you are in 'standard editor' mode.

1) go to your user cp
2) select edit options
3) scroll down to near the bottom to miscellaneous options and change it to standard editor
4) save this

You should now be able to upload the text into your signature as you please.
When you have finished , you can re-set your options to Enhanced Interface.

Not yet. I am trying to open the crossword puzzles and other fun things from the Download page.

It is really upsetting me.

Sounds like you are trying to open a PDF file, but don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader! You can download it for free at www.adobe.com. That shoudl do it for ya!
