Actually, the official grand opening date was April 7, 2006.

The grand opening was in April 7, 2006, but there was a soft opening before it, and they let people ride it as early as mid-March, as I have heard. I went there late March/early April (a few days before it officially opened, though!) and it was open.

They were doing soft openings as early as late January, 2006. I was there for the AP/DVC Sneak Peak weekend and rode EE on 1/28/06.

Well after the Test Track debaucle Disney now tends to say things will open later, so if it opens early, we guests say WOW!
