I know that the song is Cheek to Cheek by Frank Sinatra...not sure what the musical is, will have to look into it.

Hopefully someone else knows what musical it is from and can post the next clue....this really isn't my cup of tea, just saw the lyrics and knew the song (My Great Grandma used to sing it all the time

Yes, the song is "Cheek to Cheek." But like so very many of Sinatra's standard tunes, this was first made popular by another in a 1930s musical film by the RKO studio.

Hint for the musical: It's one of the 9 films this popular dance pair did together for RKO in the 1930s.

I'm not very good at musicals...the only "popular dance pair" that I can even think of from back then would be Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, but I couldn't name one single musical they were in to save my life!

Sad isn't it?
