The 3D graphics and some of the new story lines certainly can create the impression that it's much rougher than the original but over all I don't think that the actual movement of the Starspeeder is all that different from Star Tours 1.0.
I really want to ride the new star tours 2, but being 6mo post back surgery, I am worried. I know that I could have handled the original version, but is the new version jerkier or really throw you around more? Im not ready to go into bubble wrap yet, but dont want to ruin the rest of my day either...
thanks![]()

I found it much smoother. My wife has an arthritic back condition and she wasn't able to ride the first one after her disease progressed. I rode ST2.0 and told her it was a lot easier. So she rode it and had no problems at all.
thank you so much!
The first and last simulation ride I ever tried was Questor at Busch Gardens. My wife and I were both nauseous beyond belief for the next several hours.
Soarin' was fine, but even then I had to look off to the side about three or four times to regain my bearings.
If you're concerned about the amount of movement in Star Tours 2.0, ask for a seat in the middle of the middle row of the simulator. There you'll find the least amount of motion. Since only the audio and video portions of the simulator were changed out, there shouldn't be major differences in the actual degree of motion. There should only be a difference in the ''perceived' amount of motion, and if that's a problem, just close your eyes!

If you don't do well with simulators, stay away. I didn't feel much of a change from one to the next. I loved it!! But my hubby didn't..not a simulator rider at all.
Personally, since I dont know for sure what the ride is like...i would hold off esp being 6 mo post back surgery.
Is there somebody that you will be traveling with that is willing to ride it and let you know what it is like?...then you can make a VERY informed decision![]()
