Breast Cancer

On Monday, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. She will be getting her first dose of chemo on 7/23 and we arrive at Riverside on 7/27. The trip has a whole new meaning for us now, she really needs it to lift her spirits. We've been to the parks enough, so we just take it easy anyway, but any ideas on what to expect?

My prayers go out to your family. I would say she needs to be talking with her doctor on what to expect and to make sure she is listening to her body and not over do it. Each person's body handles chemo a bit differently, so there is no rule, other than to be attentive to how she is feeling. Be more intentional about going just a notch slower than you think you should, and take time to enjoy the things you might rush past.
