Pooh playground. Although, I wish we got a new submarine ride. 20,000 leagues was AWESOME!

A Pooh themed playground. What a waste.

Instead of creating a new attraction that is water themed, they filled in the lagoon and put in a playground like any you can find back at home. How sad.

20,000 leagues was great. Poohs playground is such a waste of space.

Does anyone know why the 20.000 ride was stopped? Never got a chance to do it.

I have the DVD set "Your Host, Walt Disney" and I watch the 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea ride over and over again since I have never ridden it.

I was in The playground the other day & I noticed that they had a submarine carving inside on one of the trees. I guess in memory of the ride.

I remember riding this when I was really little. It was a great ride. I remember always being just a little bit scared when I went on it. I bet if I had been older it wouldn't have been as great. Maybe this is a case where it's better to be a great memory than a crappy reality.

    Pooh hoo hoo hoo ...

Ariel's Grotto has been there for quite a while. It co-existed with 20K. A very good fit IMHO.

What's really depressing about this is the amount of unused space back there now. The actual area that 20kLUS took up was huge. Pooh's Playful Spot only takes up a little more than what was the queue area. There is a huge expanse of empty land behind it where the lagoon used to be. The pulled all the tracks up and of course knocked down all the theming and filled it with dirt.

There's a great site out there that shows this whole process... as depressing as it is... check it out!

But... that could be a good sign. Maybe they put Pooh in as an interim attraction and will put in real attraction in the (hopefully not too distant) future.
