Re: If you could bring back one of these Epcot attractions...
i think that the old time imagineers still cherish Uncle Walt's vision, and try to honor that in their old way... but WDW isnt what it used to be... u know Walt Disney did this because he wanted to have a place where his daughters and him could have fun together... he pushed the envelope so many times... to so many great ideas...
i fear somehow, somewhere it was lost... and the ppl who remain, who still honor that vision are the imagineers... and they are not in a position to be telling the board or any "fat cats" how to run a businsess theyve known for 40 or 50 yrs... are they...

Re: If you could bring back one of these Epcot attractions...
Can anyone give me a description of The world of Motion, Horizons, and the original Journey into Imagination (I think i am the only person out there that absolutely loves the Journey into Imagination ride and Pavilion). I have heard so much about these original attractions and how great they where but i never had the opportunity to experience any of these rides. If anyone could post a good video that would be great.

Re: If you could bring back one of these Epcot attractions...
My first ever trip to WDW was back in 1993 as a graduating from 8th grade present. I got to experience World of Motion and Horizons but because it was so long ago, I barely remember any of it. =(
Thankfully, I have seen vids on YouTube to help me remember how much fun these rides were. I really miss 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. It was one of my fave movies growing up and that was the one ride I was sooo anxious to ride when we got to WDW.

I miss a lot of those, but I voted for the original imagination.

Personally, I don't miss the days of the 35-minute educational experiences that once occupied the pavilions of Epcot. At least Body Wars was short enough, even though Disney cheated and took the Star Tours commet sequence, colored it red, and made it a capillary.
I do agree that Horizons was a great ride, but maybe it's because, as a kid, I was waiting and waiting for little buttons to light up to vote towards the end. As for World of Motion, by the end, I decided that maybe it wasn't fun to be free afterall, no matter HOW many times that song tried to convince me otherwise.
Really, Walt? Disneyland is MY land? Why would I want a silly little land when I can have the WORLD.

For me, it's a tie between the original Journey Into Imagination (which I have never seen) and Horizons (which I rode a long time ago but don't remember it at all).
