best moment

Mine that me and my family always talks about is running through the rain in the Magic Kinngdom... And it happened more than once!

My most emotional moments at Disney is during the Spectromagice and fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. Even thinking about the wonder in my daughter's eyes of all the lights and magic, followed by Jimney Crickets speil during the fireworks...brings tears to my eyes. No matter how many times I go to Disney it will always choke me up. It is such a wonderful moment for the entire family.

When I was a kid my Dad would make the looonngg drive every other year to take us to Disney World because HE loved it so much. Dad passed away suddenly in '02 at the age of 59. Last February my husband and I took our 3 kids there for the 1st time. Walking down Main St. USA I had tears rolling down my face because I felt like Dad was walking right next to me. I'm sure he was!

Going to Boma in Animal Kingdom Lodge for a meal just after we bought my engagement ring. We didn't 'officially' get engaged until a month later, but Andy let me wear the ring, just for that night.

For me it was probably when we arrived at the airport in Orlando waiting for my cousins so they could come join us in Disney. That second they turned the corner and we ran towards each other was the most emotional wonderful moment in Disney. Other than that its every time we walk up to Cinderella's Castle. ;-)

Watching the HUGE firework show during gradnite (07) and realizing that it was the end of my high school career. 12 years done. No more having to raise my hand and use a pass to go to the bathroom. Realizing my whole life has just begun for and for better or for worse I had to say good bye to all that I know and welcome the adventure ahead. But always remembering that if I worked hard I could always come back and enjoy the magic that is Disney.

(Friends saw me crying told them it was all the smoke)

I have two - one good, one not-so-good (that actually wound up being why I love WDW).

The good: For my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary, their kids offered to pay for a vacation for them - anywhere they wanted. Instead of doing something like a tour of Europe or Asia, they decided that they wanted to go to Disney World with their kids and grandkids. We spent time together in the parks, but the time that I really remember is all 11 of us eating at the Biergarten one night for dinner, taking up a whole table by ourselves and my grandparents teaching all of us how to polka.

The not-so-good: The summer that my parents divorced, my mom and I went on a vacation to Florida. We wound up spending a few days at WDW, going our separate ways for about half the time we were there. I was in Epcot when it really hit me that my family was broken up and that we weren't going to be on vacation together or anything anymore. I was sitting on a bench, crying, and a cast member sat down next to me and asked if I was all right. We wound up talking for nearly half an hour, and I wound up feeling unbelievably better. And that's a big reason why I love WDW - that someone who was just out of work and looking to head home would stop and talk to a crying stranger for a pretty big chunk of time, without being asked or paid. It says a lot about the people that work there.

For me, it was on this last trip when we were waiting for rope drop at MK on July 12th. It was my oldest daughters " Sweet Sixteen " birthday! We were right at the front and there were about 300 - 400 people behind us. The CM that was there made a BIG deal out of it being her " Sweet Sixteen " and Gepetto kissed her on the hand 16 times - twice. But the most emotional part was when the CM told everyone in line that it was her " Sweet Sixteen " and had them sing " Happy Birthday " to her. To hear all those people putting that much effort into it for her was just awesome! She was blushing, but in heaven, and i was trying my best to discreetly wipe away the tears! It was the BEST!!! Thank you DISNEY!!!!!!!!!
