Re: What Was Disney's BIGGEST Mistake?

Going through The Living Seas in its current incarnation was pretty depressing. I actually don't mind that it is now Finding Nemo themed (though it's a little weird being the only film-themed pavilion in Epcot). But inside it was so...empty! However I did love "Turtle Talk"

And the abandoned Wonders of Life pavilion is also very sad to think about. That was a happening place. I really hope something is done with that soon...

The two things that get my personal goat is that I wish the Enchanted Tiki Room could go back to being under the old management. For YEARS that attraction scared the poop out of me so my parents eventually stopped taking me there until I was a little bit older. Then one year I FINALLY was able to watch the whole thing without closing my eyes and just enjoy it...aaaaaaand that was the last time I ever saw the old show.

And the Imagination ride. I was so ANGRY at the first change in the ride with Figment almost taken out of the picture completely! Why bother selling Figment plushies if no one comes out of the ride knowing who he is. The second revision doesn't bother me so much. More Figment...and I get a kick out of seeing the old Figment robots at the end of the ride. It's good to know they weren't thrown out.

Re: What Was Disney's BIGGEST Mistake?

i agree on all fronts... who needs iago and zazu in the tiki room... in some classic attractions, the movie characters do not need to be there...

Not growing a full-blown Muppets experience at MGM ( Hollywood) Studios.
Not negotiating for Harry Potter. Boys would have loved this.

Re: What Was Disney's BIGGEST Mistake?

I'm not sure losing Harry Potter to Universal was such a bad thing. There was a certain negative in having to relinquish an amount of control to Rowling that I understand Disney not wanting for their theme parks.

Horizons use to be one of my favorites. It was way better than what is there now.

Re: What Was Disney's BIGGEST Mistake?

I'm starting to think Disney's biggest mistake is what they've done to Tower of Terror for Summer Nightastic.
