Our trips to WDW were so spread out over time that till the pictures were posted, I'd forgotten about those trees. I miss them, and yet, like the view without the trees.

Several CM's and Managers gave me the same explanation. I miss those trees and the trees in Town Square because of the shade they offered.

I also liked that the castle was partially obscured as you walked down Main St. When you finally saw the entire castle, the effect was more profound IMHO.
