Good idea right there! I enjoyed my 1991 visit.
Rolling the clock back to 1991 would be fantastic, IMO! If only because EPCOT has suffered mightily since that time.
It's funny, too. Some people will say we shouldn't let nostalgia do our thinking, or we just want to keep the parks from growing and advancing...
No, EPCOT Center was simply better back in the early 90's. Period.
The Living Seas was far more impressive than The Seas with Nemo & Friends.
Journey into Imagination still had Figment and Dreamfinder.
Horizons was classic Disney magic that everyone could enjoy. Not a spin-n-puke with a limited audience.
All of the pavilions were in excellent repair.
I suppose it could be argued that Test Track is superior to World Of Motion, but not to this boy.
Original Imagination and Alien Encounter (I am honestly a Stitch fan, but the original attraction was way more fun), please! Oh, and the Enchanted Tiki Room, but I do believe they're making that back to the original, according to the rumor mill...
I voted for the Skyway. The Brazilian tourist kids are far less loud from up there.
it did seem to be much quieter up there... now with both buildings gone it seems to have been erased from existence...
They tore down the one in Fantasy Land?!
Man, that thing was so beautiful...
Also agreed about Alien Encounter! Somehow, even though my wife and I didn't get there much during that time, we DID get there at the time AE was there.
I remember Lou during one of the Top "Ten" w/Tim podcasts saying that he found it to be the most "un-Disney" attraction ever. I agree with that, but it was still intensely cool.
It's a shame they tore down the Skyway building in Fantasyland - it really filled out the landscape of that corner nicely. Also, I definitely agree that AE was the most un-Disney attraction that they made, and I think that was one of the reasons I liked it so much, it brought something different to the parks.
I love my magic, but a little bit of fright isn't too terrible, either! :)
Bring Horizons back!! This is the only attraction I regret never having the chance to experience. :(
Horizons and World of Motion were both fantastic attractions. When The Living Seas finally opened, Future World was truly in its prime.
As simple as it was, I miss If You Had Wings! Today is the anniversary of the opening of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. It opened 13 years ago. I wrote an article on my blog about the attractions that occupied that spot since the opening of the Magic Kingdom. Check it out at DigitalDisneyWorld.com!
20K, accept no substitutes
ok even though this was not an option...the original journey to imagination! i have seen videos of it but i'm sure they will never compare to what it was like live! (this is what happens when you are too young to remember most of these attractions )
Fantastic attraction in it's day.
The upstairs "arcade" was worth it all by itself.
Sorry you never got to see it. :(
When I was a kid I loved 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. Wish they would bring that back.
