| Plastic or Parrafin Character Figures I hope someone else remembers this (so I know I am not going crazy). I visited WDW several times in the 70's and 80's as a child with my family ( first ime was actually on opening day - 10/1/71.) I seem to remember there being some type of "vending machines" throughout the Magic Kingdom Park at WDW in the 70's where you could buy a plastic? or parrafin? disney character made to order while you waited (took about 2-3 minutes) and the figure was still warm when it came out. I think there were several colors (red, blue, green, etc) and am pretty sure there were a couple of characters to choose from at each machine. Does anyone remember these? ![]() |

| I've seen those machines at Busch Gardens when I was a kid & I had a collection of those figures. I don't remember ever seeing them at Disney though. I didn't go to the MK until 1976 so maybe they were gone by then. I took my kids to the Miami Seaquarium a couple of years ago and they had those same kind of machines. The figures were wax and were of dolphins and other sea creatures. They were warm coming out of the machine. |
