| Tiki Room Anyone else miss the old Tiki Room? Gilbert Gottfried really gets on my nerves. |

| Re: Tiki Room I'm fine with both shows, the classic and not so new. The kids, when they were younger, could really relate to the characters in the Under New Management show.. Last edited by NC_WDW_Daddy; 09-07-2009 at 11:45 AM.. |

| Re: Tiki Room I miss the old show, too. My 2 and a half year old knows the words to the original show thanks to the History of Disneyland CDs!

| Re: Tiki Room When I was younger I was happy they changed it... but after seeing it once it got boring and I missed the old one. I thought it was funnier and more fun in general. |

| Re: Tiki Room I hate the new version. It's brash, annoying, and not entertaining. The old show was relaxing and fun. I wish they'd bring it back. IMO the cynicism which the new show rubs your nose in has no place in a Disney park. |

| Re: Tiki Room Quote:
Bingo, I agree. We enjoyed the older version, back in the 70's and 80's. Though we still make one trip in the attraction, we sure remember the old days. Our first visit to WDW was in 1977, and we were in there and they did the thunder and lightning part and in the fake windows the rain was coming down, we said, "there goes this vacation" only to be fooled by the theatrics and exiting the attraction to see the hot Florida sun beaming brightly. Godfrey is alittle over the top and not really needed in the attraction but overall the show is still one of our must do's. | |

| Re: Tiki Room Miss it, but also like to newer version! In my dreams there would be a park that would hold all extinct attractions and original versions of rehabed attractions! Ahhhhhh......if only |

| Re: Tiki Room Exactly. I also love Under New Management. It's just as great and funny as the original show, which is not coming back to WDW anytime in the future, as it became way too unpopular at WDW in its final years. Some people get way too bent out of shape over UNM and, IMO, if they hate it, they don't have a sense of humor. ![]() |

| Re: Tiki Room I have a sense of humor. It's just that UNM isn't funny. It features lame music (example:Miami Sound Machine), it's cynical to the point of being insulting & I HATE Gilbert Gottfried so whatever he says is going to be annoying. They shouldn't ever have used such a polarizing voice actor. It was timeless in its first iteration. It's now very dated and in need of another refurb. |

| Re: Tiki Room Maybe I'm repeating myself but I'm glad Disneyland kept the original version, it's just classic Disney to me. Also, I don't mind the fact that you can grab a Dole Whip in the queue (and can eat it inside the show too!)
