Re: What was your biggest suprise?
This may sounds a little naive, but i would have to say Pirates of the Caribbean. My first time was as an 8 year old visiting in 1982. While I know the attraction had been popular for many years (via both Disneyland and WDW), I hadn't really been very aware of Disney theme parks until that point. It's not like there was a heavy marketing presence other than the odd promotional booklet and a commercial or two. So my first awareness of this theme park icon was our first visit there. As such, this idea of a ride with audio-animatronics and scenery telling a story was such an unbelievable concept to me. But also surprising that it rung louder with me than roller coasters or other dark rides.
Re: What was your biggest suprise?
My biggest suprise would have to be the first time I rode Splash Mountain. My first 2 trips to the world I was totally scared of drops, and any ride that may contain them. Finally on my 3rd trip me and my sister decided to face our fears and ride it. That was the most suprisingly fun and exciting ride I have ever had.

Rockin' Roller Coaster... i never went on upside down coasters until this one when i was 15... i loved it so much i went on it like 4 times that trip... i literally didnt eat anything until i went on that ride... now i will go on every roller coaster... its crazy how that works isnt it...
Re: What was your biggest suprise?
My biggest surprise by far was stich's great escape. Now, I am an avid fan of all things disney created. However, on opening day of the attraction, I was rather turned off by the graffetti painted on the castle. I felt it was degrading, and was utterly disapointed and surprised.
Re: What was your biggest suprise?
My biggest surprise was how LOOOOOONG the line for Toy Story Mania was. But I was even more surprised at how amazing that ride was. I clapped at the end. Marvelous graphics.
Re: What was your biggest suprise?
Expedition Everest was incredible the very first time.
I am always surprised at my joy and pleasure when riding It's a Small World. It really is a small world. :)
Re: What was your biggest suprise?
my biggest surprize was how fast expedition everest was! i thougjt it was going to be this sweet little ride through the mountain like big thunder mountain. I was wrong. The picture is very interesting....

I know! the line was so long! It said a 30 minute wait. Oh no, it was NOT 30 minutes. It was 70 minutes. But, I also agree it was spectacular. They changed the ride for toy story 3 i think.

I was surprised at how lame Mission Space turned out being.
A more pleasant surprise though was when I first got a perfect score on Buzz. I get it every time now. Now I am accused of cheating though.
Fantasmic was a pleasant surprise as well when it first came out. Now after watching the World of Color on youtube I wish that could come to Hollywood Studios.

Re: What was your biggest suprise?
When I went to DLR for the first time last April, I knew Sleeping Beauty's Castle was small, but when I reached the center of Main Street and saw the castle I was really surprised and disappointed. It took me a bit to get used to, but it grew on me and I began to like the quaintness of Disneyland.
Re: What was your biggest suprise?
When it comes to rides that I didn't expect to be that awesome, it would have to be the People Mover/TTA. As a kid, I don't remember my parents choosing to ride that for some reason. I always saw the cars trolling around the perimeter of Tomorrowland and I wanted to know what they were. My sister told me you got on them inside the Carousel of Progress. (This is also the same girl that told me Space Mountain was inside the golf ball at Epcot. Oh, big sisters...) Anyway, I rode the People Mover (I call it that because my husband does) on my honeymoon and loved it. A nice leisurely ride, not too fast, fresh air blowing, get to see all of Tomorrowland, even stuff you can't see any other way, like inside of Space Mountain and the model for the original Epcot layout. And no pushing and shoving and sweating like most lines. The line, what little there is of it, is shaded. I love this ride. We ride it a couple of times when we're there, just to sit back to catch our breath. I think I've had my happiest moments at Disney World on that thing. At night it's just lovely too.
Re: What was your biggest suprise?
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Impressions De France at Epcot - the music in that movie is beautiful and lots of lovely stunning scenery.
For my hubby, it was how much he enjoyed Philharmagic - he thought it was going to be a 'little kids' attraction and was reluctant to go in, but found he loved it in the end!
Re: What was your biggest suprise?
My biggest surprise was Splash Mountain. I thought you just went up, into the mountain, then immediately down the drop. I had no idea there was anything going on inside the mountain. It was a GREAT surprise!
Re: What was your biggest suprise?
yeh the story at Splash is amazing...
