Goofy water skiing....???

I have been going to disney every year since I was 2. We are DVC members and have 2 young daughters. I remember when I was little staying at the Contemporary and Goofy would water ski over and get off to greet and take pics. Do they still do this anymore?? I remember I would get so excited seeing that!!!

I cannot remember if I've seen Goofy skiing lately. I remember seeing him when we took the ferry over to the Magic Kingdom.

Here's a photo my parents took back in the 80's. Not sure where it was taken from, though.

I have seen goofy on Bay Lake in the 90's when I was on the ferry boat to Magic Kingdom. It's a great memory!

Hello All, I worked at Disney for 15 years and was proud to be part of the Character ski team and it's Captain. The character ski team has been around for a long time and has been a seemingly small dept for a while, in the final years of the ski team we added Tigger, Max (goofy's son) and updated Pluto and goofy. We did filming and special events at lake eola every year as well. In the final years we stepped up and did resort visits in the afternoon and jumped in the pools and played with the guests. It was the greatest gig ever for us. We also did the water characters at river country in it's final days as well.
We also really wanted to expand the team but due to budget issues we were force to shut down.
