After voting no, I realized that perhaps I should have voted with "Kind of" - I like what they try to do, and rather succeed with, in this attraction. It's sort of like an old radio show, everything happens in your imagination... in fact, the sound effects do leave me cringing at some points as I'm imagining pretty terrifying things happening to me during it!
However, it's a little on the unimaginative side as a whole - the old horror movie show with the foley effects and such was MUCH more fun and relevant to the motion picture theme. Even now, in the age of everything being done digitally, there's still foley work in most motion pictures.
I liked the original show.
Never been to it, so I can't pass judgement.
Its very boring, and the theater itself is so run down. The last time I was there I sat in two different seats that were broken and my headphones had a chunk taken out of it. They could do so much more with that building...and they need to, much like many areas of DHS.
i was there last week and i can tell you... the attraction looks like it is permanently gone... the Drew Carey sign is gone... and it just has that ominous "im gone" look to it...
The digital sign was still flashing "Sounds Dangerous" this week, but it definitely wasn't open. Yeah, Drew is gone. It looks closed for good, I doubt it will re-open.
No way. I never liked it.
Bleh :/ The ride is somewhat mediocre.
I don't even know what to consider this thing... An attraction... I dunno... A ride... Not really... A show...? Not even sure it should be labeled...
they just need to get rid of it
Drew Carey will be running Disney's Half Marathon in January.
Wonder why Disney is dragging Drew back into the Parks??? He currently works for CBS.
I actually did like this attraction. Then again, I enjoy Drew Carey. Short and sweet. Good diversion on a hot summer day. However I do think The Monster Sound Show was much better since it actually gave some insight into how foley artists work.
A lot of attractionsa re at the stage now where they are no longer "timely". Dreew Carey is no longer a boig draw and there is no nostalgia for his show. A SFX show can still work.
