Pictures of Osborne Lights on Residential Street?
I have always heard that before Lights, Motor & Action was at Hollywood Studios that the Osborne Lights were on Residential Street. I have been searching and have not been able to find a picture of this. Does anyone know where I can locate this and also what were your thoughts of the Osborne Lights in the location. It sounds like it was really cool to me. Thanks in advance.

I don't have any pictures but I have seen it personally. It was OK. As I recall the "Golden Girls" house was decorated. I believe Bea Arthur was also. As I remember it she had several dozen strands of lights draped over her gargantuan frame on the front lawn. It was a peculiar mixture of horrifying and wonderful.

I too have photo's from back in the day, not scanning nicely. I like both versions but the Original I liked more. You could walk through the entire area, like walking through a gallery, the newer set up is fantastic also but it more in one big block. I loved how the creche set up in the original version back near where the steamroller was and the town square area is like my home town at Christmas.
Here is some I found online:

Wow cool. I am sorry I missed that. I think it would had been fun to have all that space to stroll around to during the busiest times at night.

I liked it more, guests kept moving and there was something different at every turn. I loved the nativity at the end.
Look to JeffLangeDVD.com he is taking requests now for old pictures for his 40th WDW anniversary.

One neat little treat they did back in 2001 was to hand out those paper prism glasses (same style as those old 3D things). When you put them on and looked into the bright lights, images of angels appeared "flying around" the lights. It was fun walking along the street with them on and looking at the decorated "homes".
I must add that I do enjoy the dancing lights feature that they added in 2007; especially when the TSO music is playing!

I'd honestly have to say this is my best post ever.

Oh my, I forgot about the 3D too. We do still have them too. We have a picture of my little DD in her buggy with the glasses slammed on her little face and a big ole smile.
