I really think both Mickey and Minnies house should be moved elsewhere. It's a great architectural icon, I think anyway. It's like a live cartoon. No straight lines. It's just so them. Gonna miss them.
Now that the county fair has left town for good, I thought I should make a thread dedicated to it. Just post you memories and experiences.
I don't remember this, but my parents told me Barnstormer was my first coaster.
I'm gonna miss taking the tour of Mickey's house.

I don't think its appropriate spot is at DHS. Magic Kingdom is its place to be(but not for much longer). If they move the houses elsewhere in other parks, it won't be the same. I guess the Meet-and-Greets are all we're gonna get afterwards? I have no idea. . .

I was in DLP earlier this month, and Minnie has a meet and greet at the bottom of Main Street. I didn't get to see it in operation, and the "house" was a very small one, so I don't know if you can actually go in or if it is just a front area where she stands on the stoop.
I always thought near the Mermaid in DHS would work. They really need a few more draws for smaller kids in the studio. Too much sitting still for long periods of time for them. Need another place where they can get out of a seat or out of a stroller. Most rides just don't work for younger kids in the studios.
The only thing I really remeber from Toontown that was not from my 2010 trip is trick or treating durning Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in2003. When we went on our last trip we toured that whole area taking like 500 pictures and rode Barnstromer for the first time, I wish I rode it when I was younger... maybe it would be more fun. Me and my 19 year old brother rode it together and we were a bit cramped in the seat and it was really short and boring.

I think DHS could work. Could make a whole area dedicated to bringing the old Mickey cartoons to life. Cap it off with their houses.

Disney could also retire the houses to the Back Lot Tour at DHS.
Toontown was never meant to stay forever....but I am sad that it's going away....I'm sure that Disney will do something with the houses....time will tell.
My son loved it and Goofy's Barnstormer was his first coaster as well. We'll miss Toontown.
