Which attraction is safest?
If Horizons and the iconic, opening day Snow White ride can go, anything can go. What current attractions do you feel are the safest to not go away for a long, long time ?
Based on how new they are and the cost, I'd say Expedition Everest and Soarin' are safe for years to come.

Re: Which attraction is safest?
Safest at the Magic Kingdom, at least in my opinion, is probably the Haunted Mansion. It has had some small and some not so small changes and alterations since they completed it, and there will no doubt be many more as the years roll on, but I sincerely doubt we will ever see the back of it. Pirates is in much the same boat.
As for Snow White, they aren't closing an opening day attraction per-se. That would be like closing "Under New Management" and claiming you are closing an opening day attraction, which was the wholly different "Tropical Serenade". Was Snow White ever in the same popularity league as Horizons (which I never saw) or the Haunted Mansion?
Everest will certainly be safe at DAK because, for the most part, it is the only reason that a chunk of its guests actually visit the place. That and the fact it is brand new...
Interesting question, though. I've often thought this myself. To be honest, I always wonder whether Walt Disney World will still be standing in 100 years time and, if so, what it would look like. The infrastructure was certainly not built to last as long as that! I know that some of the show-buildings at the Magic Kingdom were built with a projected life-span of some 50-60 years.

Re: Which attraction is safest?
My wife and I were just talking about this exact question this weekend. We thought in the MK that Splash Mountain would probably be there a very long time, also Peter Pan. At Epcot Soarin' is probably the only one that is safe. AK Expedition Everest and DHS probably Tower of Terror.
Most of the thrill rides I can see being there a long time but Peter Pan, POTC, and HM are the rides that aren't thrill rides that would be safe.

Re: Which attraction is safest?
My thoughts:
MK: Haunted Mansion
Epcot: Test Track (I do expect to see updates however)
DHS: Tower of Terror
AK: Everest
Basically, anything that isn't directly themed to a movie/character/etc. I think has a chance of staying around the longest.
Sometimes all you need is a reminder that out there lies a better place... a better world... a Walt Disney World.

Re: Which attraction is safest?
I personally wonder whether the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse is living on borrowed time. I hope not, because it's a wonderful nostalgia kick, it's an excellent example of WED Enterprises' early work, it doesn't have too much of a footprint worth replacing and it requires the square-root of zilch to man it. But... still...

i think SFR is definitely on borrowed time... people never really flocked to it to begin with... and what would it take to close it...? nothing really...
my thoughts on safest...
MK: Haunted Mansion, Splash and Space
MGM: Tower of Terror
Epcot: Soarin' Spaceship Earth (they will never close it... just refurb it)
AK: Expedition Everest

Re: Which attraction is safest?
Like I said, I think the fact that it isn't manned and does not take a massive amount of space is the only reason we still have it. It'll be sad to see it go, for sure, but at the same time, I honestly wonder what could be built on its footprint. Not much, I assume.

Re: Which attraction is safest?
The Kilimanjaro Safari(s?) is certainly never going to go!
The only thing you could ever update is to replace the vehicles; nature's timeless.
That is... of course... providing the Harambe People's Liberation Army don't return.

And they may soon need to start getting new vehicles...just saying...but yes, the Safari will never go...how could it even be possible to get rid of an attraction bigger than the entire Magic Kingdom???
my list (going with more e-ticket, thrill type of attractions):
MK: Space Mountain, Splash Mountain
HS: Tower of Terror (not RnRC because it still lacks a secondary restraint; such as a belt to lock down the overhead restraint or an actual seatbelt)
EP: Test Track, Soarin'
AK: Everest, Dinosaur (though Dinosaur may not seem so, it's got a very good restraint system)

Re: Which attraction is safest?
Maybe they'll add LCD screens to the trees showing veld animals floating about at the end?

Re: Which attraction is safest?
MK: Space Mountain
AK: Expedition Everest
EPCOT: Spaceship Earth (I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned this. There is no way that structure is ever going anywhere)
HS: Tower of Terror
