Hated the wand...I understood that the 2000 was the celebratory type thing they did, so I dealt with it...but I really didn't need it to say EPCOT for how many years. Where else in the world do they have a golf ball that size?! I knew what it was, thank you.

I didn't mind i i got use to it being there. I remember (some what) of going and seeing the new 2000 on the golf ball then it changing to Epcot and i forgot what it had looked like without it. Then when i went back without it i saw how much better it looked! So i didn't mind it with the wand but i LOVE it without the wand.

2012- March- 4 nights at Wilderness Lodge then 3 nights at Bay Lake Tower
2011- March- 5 nights at Treehouse Villas then 2 nights at Bay Lake Tower
2010- March- 6 nights at Saratoga Springs then 1 night at Bay Lake Tower.
2010- July- 7 nights at Saratoga Springs.
2009- March- 9 nights at Boardwalk Villas.
2009- October- 2 nigths at Dolphin then Disney Wonder- 3-Night Bahamian Cruise (w/ a friend who I met on the Magic cruise)
2008- March- Disney Magic- 7-Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise (1st cruise ever)
2008- November- 5 nights at Coronado Springs
2007- March- 9 nights at Wilderness
2007- November- 2 nights at Swan
2006-1998 Yearly Trips sometimes two trips a year at various resorts which are the following(resort (# of times not previously stated))-

I was okay with it for 2000. It was...tolerable in it's newness. But beyond that I'd look up at it and go "Really? Does this really contribute anything positive to the scenery?"
Gotta love a duck in uniform.

I hated that stupid wand almost as much as i hate the stupid Mickey hat ruining the chinese theatre view at MGM....

as i have mentioned before there is a reason the hat is there... and it has nothing to do with the mouse or making MGM beautiful... its more how do i say... a legality thing... or so the rumor is...

Interesting read. Makes a lot of sense that the rumor started but really has no basis. Disney is smarter than that.

This is true...but I'll take the Sorcerer's Hat over the Epcot wand any day of the week...at least that horrid High School Musical stage is gone...it made walking down Hollywood Blvd really depressing to see the Sorcerer's Hat blocked...I've come to be accustomed to the Sorcerer's Hat, but I didn't think they would end up making it a permanent fixture
But, yes, I agree...Spaceship Earth is best in original form
