Toontown. It closed for the Fantasyland expansion.
I don't really remember too much, but I remember as a kid going to a part in Disney World where I was able to go into Mickey's house and Minnie's House and Donald and Goofey and all the characters. What was this called? Is that the part of Fantasy Land that they have closed down and are completely re-doing? I have been to Disney many times since that time but have never seen it again. Can anyone fill in the blanks for me?![]()

Ok, thanks. That's what I thought when everyone mentioned toontown, but since I was so young I couldn't remember. While I'm excited about the Fantasyland expansion, I hope they bring some of those type of attractions back in the future.
Ah, Toontown Fair
That was my favorite part when i was little!

What happened to the houses & Donald's boat? Were they demolished or moved to a bone yard somewhere?

Reports are they were demolished and token pieces taken from each structure. My kids loved Donalds boat and I found it to be far superior to the replacement train they put in the new Circus area where you just get squirted.

Yeah, I'm sure if a little more thought had gone into it, the houses could have been saved and relocated to... somewhere within the 4 parks!

I agree. They would have been a nice addition in MGM either near Muppets or playground area. I have so many pictures of my kids when they were small in those houses and in all the versions of Toon. That area was always being re-invented. But Donalds boat let the kids blow off a lot of stroller steam.
