Excellent link - cheers for sharing!
Some good Epcot Photo's on here. Makes me sad every time I see a flower pot where there once was a fountain.

Your welcome Rich. I have very fond memories of Future World of Yesteryear. I'm struggling with Epcots 30th Birthday. MK's 25th was fun. Epcot's 30th is like a memorial service, fond memories. Interesting that both the Disney posts and merchandise is all retro Future World. Better days gone bye.

these pics return me to my childhood... I remember much of the early EPCOT, even though I visited for the first time in 1993... I missed out on some, but was still able to see the WoL, Horizons, the original JiI, and even the original Living Seas Pavilion...

Horizons
This is one of my favorite scenes. I am in the camp that truly misses Horizons.

My DS who is around your age was in the parks since 1988 annually for a couple weeks a year so his memories are very clear of the 'ole Future World. My youngest that is 20, her second trip was in 1992 and her memories are not nearly as clear as she was much younger when the changes started to hit. But Imagination, clear as day, she spent hours in the upstairs room.

Yeh... I remember the original UoE, and the definitely Horizons... My memories of WoM and WoL are a bit hazy but when I watch them on youtube I definitely remember being on them... The Living Seas is something I spent alot of time in as a child and so was JiI... It is amazing how much EPCOT has changed just since the early 90's... the futuristic Characters with the silver costumes with rainbows on them to the slow moving WoM... It still crazy to look at old pictures of my trips into EPCOT...

My DD's memories are crystal clear of WoL, we spent a lot of time in that building. My DS loved the batting cages, DD the bike through the MK. Annually I took a picture of each of them in front of the Kodak X-Ray photo spot.
It was an excellent growth chart. I miss that the most.
I hope and dream that with all the memories WDW is putting out there for us to reminisce that it is the slap in the head the executives need. The 30th anniversary celebration is nothing to celebrate, it should be a day of mourning for what Future World was and could still be but is not.
