I miss Superstar Television. One trip, I was selected to play a detective in "The Golden Girls." That was part of my fondest Orlando trip because I was selected to do four different things during that trip. Two of them were at Universal on the Earthquake ride and the old Hitchcock show (which I loved...Norman Bates!) Plus, superstar TV and I was part of the water show at the beginning of the backstage tram tour. I got drenched too because the straps holding up the pants part of the rain suits they gave us...they came undone...very little protection when they're around your ankles.
Great memories though!
Engaged to a wonderful woman on 12-12-08 at the Magic Kingdom!

My husband turned down the rold of Al on Tool Time.
It turns out if you wear the Mickey Bride & Groom ears you get picked for a lot of things and gets lots of special attention.

I miss The Monster Sound Show. Martin Short was too funny.
The thing I miss most about the Studios as a whole - it seems like they have completely gotten away from the whole "working studios" concept and showing the magic behind making movies. We really thought it was a lot more interesting the old way.

I ALWAYS wanted to be one of the guest that got to participate at Superstar TV, but I never got chosen.

I got engaged at Epcot on June 17, 2007! We're going back to celebrate my graduation in May 2009!

I agree about the Studios no longer being a "Studio"... it has now transformed into a park with a movie theme, having completely divested itself of the original concept.

Do any of you remember the "Star of the Day" they used to have? They would be in a parade or participate in any other "special" event that was going on that day. It generally was a TV actor, but ocassionally they had someone well known. I don't remember when they stopped doing that.

I got picked to be in Superstar TV because of my big mouth friends. I thought I would get something stupid but actually got to be in a 3 Stooges pie fight scene and got a delicious Banana Cream pie in the face. They said when it was over one of the lovely assistants would help me clean-up. When it was done a lovely blonde girl came over and I thought it was my lucky day.....But she just handed me a towel and walked away. I did get a coupon for a free ice cream bar, so all was not lost

Superstar TV was awesome and I miss that. My little sister got to play Lucy in the episode of I Love Lucy with the chocolate factory. I was in fourth grade so.... she was in second grade and was so scared of being in front of everyone.

I miss the soundstage restaurant, it was my fave in the studios. I have lots of pictures of me and my sister from when we were really little around the lamp in one of the caves on the staircase there.

I remember going to watch tapings of the mickey mouse club. I was exactly the right age to be obsessed by that show...and a friend of mine from theater was on the show. Every Saturday morning at about 4:30, I would drag one of my parents out of bed to go sign up for tickets to that day's taping. Then we'd hang out at the park for a few hours, until taping started in mid-afternoon. My poor parents...they hardly ever got to sleep in on Saturdays for about three years! I was so sad when the show got cancelled
I was never a Justin Timberlake fan though... my heart belonged to Chase and Damon LOL.
