My first trip to disney was in 2001. We left our house on September 17 2001... we were suppose to fly ( that was not going to happen). I remember being like the only ones in the park so we did not have to wait in many lines. So my first WDW attraction I think was Buzz lightyear space spin. We rode like 5 times in a row then went to Space Mountain. I wish I can remember more of that trip it was only 8 years ago and all you people are telling stores for the 70's.

Hahaha...yeah I see what you mean but to be honest at the time I was in love and although the park was packed "mid July" like you I felt like we were the only ones in the park as well. Funny how the mind works and what you actually do remember or at least your interpretation. All I know is no matter how old I was when I've been there it has certainly been magical. Not that I feel it but truth be known I am an old man now and still get that feeling by seeing theme parks like this through the eyes of my little girl who is 20 months old and my stepson that just turned 14 yrs.
My first memory of WDW was "If You Had Wings" with the traffic cop directing the flamingos and the cars. I thought that was hysterical!
My favorite memory was probably my first and last ride on AT&T's Spaceship Earth. I was pretty much awe-struck, and I think that's the first time I realized how much I loved Disney.
The Golden age never was the present age… but with human liberty we can fulfill the promise and meaning of America. To everyone a chance. To all people, regardless of their birth the right to live, to work, to be themselves, and to become whatever their visions can combine to make them. This is the promise of America...And I foresee the American adventure to continue for a long, long time!
