westcot? hmmm i dunno anything bout that...
Disney's America and WestCot are something lost in time. I have found what little there is on Wikipedia, but I want to know more. Especially about WestCot. All I know about WestCot is that it was actually supposed to be the western Epcot and that it was to be where California Adventure is. Can anyone fill me in on anything?

Your 14 year old disney expert!
If I go crazy, will you still call me superman?
You know Nick, I actually have heard of this too, but I thought it was fake you know, but now, since someone, other than myself, has heard of it, I am beginning to think it's real.

I have also heard stuff about it, too
I know Esiner had a strong longing to make Disney's America, but I want to know more about WestCot since I have always loved Epcot. I bet Lou would know something about the two.
If you do a google image search, you can pull up some pics of Disney's America and WestCot, but its not really enough to satisfy me.
If they ever do some version of a Disney's America park I'd like them to bring back America sings the old show from the carousel theatre in Disneyland, also another great idea would be a theatre that just shows all the American History Documentaries of Ken Burns, I love his stuff, and since GM has a long History both with Disney and in sponsoring the documentaries of Ken Burns they would be a logical sponsor.
Try here for more on what was proposed for Westcot: http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hi...12/31/294.aspx
There is a lot on Jimhillmedia.com about both proposed parks, just search the site.

Awesome! Thanks Pat!
I never knew Disney Sea was originally ment for California...
I can't remember where I picked up this information on Westcot, but it may have been the Imagineer's Field Guide to Epcot book. I'll have to go back and check it out:
- A similar spaceship earth type attraction was going to be built, but it was going to be much larger than the east coast version and more elaborate.
- There was going to be a more updated and high tech version of Horizons
- I believe that the World Showcase version was going to be all indoors, but I could be mixing that up with one of the original concepts for Epcot Center.
In terms of Disney's America, there were going to be lands dedicated to Native American culture, the movement into the west and the gold rush. I'll see if I can find this info.
You see the hat? I am Mrs. Nesbitt!
With the images I have seen of what was to be "Spacestation Earth", looked like a larger glass SSE.
Here's the Wikipedia entry for WestCot, so take it for what it's worth:

This article is also very good, and is a link from the Wiki article:

I had already checked out the Wiki one. I am confused why residents would have a problem with WestCot and not California Adventure...
All I know was that it was to be a bigger & even better version of Epcot. Spaceship Earth {Space Station Earth} was to be bigger in every way.
