I LOVED DUCKBURG.
I have so many pics from there, and I remember Mickey's dressing room--strikingly because this is where I first saw MM and some kid in front of me punched him in the nose!
When I started going back to Disney a few years ago, I noticed something missing, then I found the article on Duckburg and everything clicked.

I remember going to Mickey's Birthday Land a few days after it opened. It was crazy! I remember the marketing for it making it sound like it was a new land that would only be open for the birthday celebration. Of course the next year they just changed the theme and the name and it remained. How funny... it worked though. That place was packed.
Sometimes all you need is a reminder that out there lies a better place... a better world... a Walt Disney World.

I never made it to Mickey's Birthdayland...but I do recall it when it was Mickey's Starland. I have several pictures of my sis and I standing in front of the stores. And we took pictures with a lot of characters in Starland.
