That is an AWESOME idea!!!
Has there ever been any thought about a resort themed to the Hollywood Tower Hotel?
If not there should be.
The ambiance and feel of a 1930's hotel, with the furniture and stylings of that era. Maybe a grand ballroom, with a big band playing. I think it would be awesome.

Actually around the time that Disney-MGM Studios was opening, there was talk of including a five star hotel at the front of the park with a 30's Art Deco feel. It had, at one point, evolved to include a "condemned" haunted wing similar to what we have today.
Eventually the Hollywood Tower Hotel was built as it is today without any resort accommodations. I am not sure why, my guess would be that the vibrations and noise from the ride system would affect the peacefulness and comfort of resort guests.
I understand, if you look at the Tower of Terror today, the backend looks like it could be extended to attach to another building right along side it, although I have never actually looked for this.

I always thought a hotel themed to that would be pretty cool too, either that or doing a Haunted Mansion themed one.
Upcoming Trips to WDW:
Dec 6-10: Disney Wonder
Dec 10-19: Port Orleans French Quarter
That would be so awesome. The phones could be one of those cool ones were you spin to get the number.

It wouldn't be too good if they had two identical hotels, one with a ride and one with accomodations. If they did something like that, they could connect a hotel's storyline to the HTH somehow. That would be a nice, little detail.
I was thinking they should make a Dream Suite like the one they have in Cinderella's Castle in the HTH. How awesome would that be?
I actually was dooldling plans for this as a new resort connected to the tower in DCA so that maybe The paradise pier hotel could become a value resort and I could afford a disneyland vacation package.. hahaYeah so The hotel would be a seperate building from the ride, but there would be a long hallway connected to the building, which would only be half as high as the actual ride, but would be an entrance to DCA from the Hotel, the top floors used as storage, etc. The building would be far enough away from the Ride that noise wouldn't be an issue... I'd love to see an old time hotel like this!
The Golden age never was the present age… but with human liberty we can fulfill the promise and meaning of America. To everyone a chance. To all people, regardless of their birth the right to live, to work, to be themselves, and to become whatever their visions can combine to make them. This is the promise of America...And I foresee the American adventure to continue for a long, long time!
