Imagineering Field Guides...
I have Imagineering Field Guides for MK, Epcot, DAK, and even saw one for DL earlier this afternoon at Barnes & Noble, but I have never been able to find one for DMGM/DHS.
My best guess is that it got lost in the mix of all the legal wranglings, but I thought they would probably have one out by now.
Does anyone know what's up with this?
Thanks!

Re: Imagineering Field Guides...
My sister just got the MK, Epcot, and DAK editions of the Imagineering books for Christmas. My mom and I searched for the HS one so that we'd be able to complete the collection for her, and found out that it is not scheduled to be released until July of this year. I would have assumed there was an older edition of the book for when the park was still MGM, but I guess not? Anyway, I finished reading the first three and loved them. I plan on pre-ordering the HS edition and having it to give to my sister for her birthday.

Re: Imagineering Field Guides...
I pre-ordered the Studios last year from Amazon. Originally it was to come out at the end of June 2009. It changed to August of 2009 and last I heard it was August of 2010.

I think it kept getting delayed due to the name change. I remember at the time, people were surprised that Animal Kingdom came out before MGM Studios, then a little while later the MGM changed names to Hollywood Studios

Re: Imagineering Field Guides...
Over on Studioscentral.com, they have had a thread about this, and the last I had heard, the book hadn't been started acording to Matt Hochberg. This was a couple of months ago, though, so I don't know where they are currently in the process.

Hochberg is one of those guys that would be pretty much in-the-know, I'm thinkin'.
If that's true, bummer.
Hopefully it's movin' along now/soon!

Re: Imagineering Field Guides...
Just wanted to chime in real quick here...
I actually know the author Alex. The book HAS been started and will be out... well... "when it's done." (Nothing so nefarious as legal issues, etc.)
I know he's been working on it, and I can't wait to add it to my collection!!

Re: Imagineering Field Guides...
I'll second Dizisit with the thanks, Lou. Hadn't heard anything on studioscentral for quite a while on it and didn't know where it was at. Definitely looking forward to getting that!

Re: Imagineering Field Guides...
Thanks Lou! I was baffled by the moving target release date on Amazon and a little annoyed. But if it means they're making it RIGHT, then i'll try to be patient. I never really thought it was legal wranglings. I mean the name change has been in effect for a while now.

Re: Imagineering Field Guides...
Just checked Amazon and it has a release date of July 27, 2010 for the DHS Field Guide

Re: Imagineering Field Guides...
Yep - book keeps getting delayed. These are super little books and were great companions on our trips to the parks. It's amazing how much you can learn whilst you're waiting in a long queue to ride Soarin'!
